Close to every Gopher venue, and the rest of the city.

The house sits on a quiet residential street just off Highway 35, about 10 minutes from downtown. Park free in the driveway, with more free parking on the street.

Meet your hosts

Hi, we're Megan and Jason.

We're Minnesota locals and lifelong Gopher fans, and we built this house to be the one we'd want for our own game weekends. Room to spread out, a garage full of things to do and a fire pit to end the night.

Our house rule for hosting is simple: yes is the default answer. Need an early check-in, a dinner rec or a spare remote at 9 PM? Ask. We usually reply within the hour.

Is it cheaper than Airbnb?

Direct bookings get our lowest rate with fewer fees on top. If you ever find your dates for less somewhere else, let us know and we'll make it right for your booking.

Will 10 people actually fit?

Yes, with room to spare. The house has over 3,300 square feet across three floors, with two living rooms and two dining areas that seat 15. You get 7 real beds: two kings, a queen and two fulls in the 4 bedrooms, plus a queen pull-out and a sofa bed. And with 3.5 baths, nobody waits long for a shower.

Can I work remotely from The Gopher House?

Yes. There's a private home office with a standing desk, a second monitor, an HDMI cord and a comfy desk chair, plus Wi-Fi throughout the house. Close the door, knock out your calls, then join the crew.

Where do we park?

The driveway is yours, and there's free street parking too. The garage is the gym and game room, so it isn't for cars.

Is it good for families?

Very. Two living rooms mean the kids can have their own space, and we keep a high chair, travel crib and stair gate on hand.

Can we check in early?

Ask us! We can't promise it every time, but we love saying yes. Whenever the house is ready, we're happy to get you in as early as 2:00 PM.

How far is The Gopher House from Huntington Bank Stadium?

About 1.3 miles. Guests walk to Gopher football games on nice days, and Williams Arena is the same distance.

Where is The Gopher House?

In Minneapolis, just off Highway 35. Dinkytown is 0.9 miles away and downtown is about 10 minutes by car. We share the exact address once you book.

Is The Gopher House good for U of M parents and graduation weekends?

Yes. Families visiting students use it for move-in, parents' weekends and commencement because everyone gets a bed and there's room for big group meals.
